2001 East Coast Arabian Championships Show

Australia's premier lead up show to the Australian National Arabian Championships will be held on the 22/23/24th of February in Sydney.

The East Coast Arabian Championships show is the second largest show on the Australian Arabian show calendar, run over three days the first two days are made up of class heats with the top 5 finalists from each class proceeding to the finals.  The finals are held at night accompanied by a black tie dinner within an indoor arena under lights, guests are seated at tables around the arena.

The show attracts many International visitors and always promises to show case the best of Australian Arabian bloodstock.

East Coast Arabian Champions have gone on to compete on the International show circuit very successfully. Two recent exports to fly the Australian flag Internationally are the 1999 East Coast Arabian Champion Stallion 'Dassefa' who was sold to a Saudi Arabian stable and then competed at the '2000 Qatar Festival of The Horse' where Dassefa gained the highest score of the show.

The 1998 East Coast Arabian Champion Colt 'Espano Estopa' went on to be crowned 1998 World Champion Colt - Salon du Cheval.

Competition comes from every state of Australia and as a lead up to the Australian National Championships which are run late in March, one will generally find that the finalists from the East Coast show go on to be top 5 finalists at the Australian National Championships.
