The last season has given me great pleasure in seeing so many of the young Eastdale ponies coming out under saddle and performing well amongst strong company.
Monstevous Just n Pretoria (Windvale Just n Time - Ascot Royal Emblem) is giving me such a thrill, being only young and taken quietly this lovely mare is leased by Colleen Ingram and is an absolute credit to her, always turned out to perfection.

She won the NZ Best Bred Pony Title at HOY 2011 and recently was champion Group A pony at the Waikato Royal Show. When finished under saddle she will return to Eastdale as a young broodmare.

Eastdale Legacy keeps coming out and showing what a true child's riding pony she is with young Bella Du Plessis. She was champion Group C at the Waikato Royal Show, then going on win get Supreme and winning the Challenger Memorial for Supreme of Supreme for the second year running.

In the middle ring two young Eastdale ponies stepped out. E. Cabaret, the first foal out of Greenlee Ballerina by Falconhurst Flashdance ridden by 7 year old Jordon Reed-Smyth. In very limited outings he has been champion and awarded the Pony Breeders Sash Classes.

E. Copelia out of E. Merry Moments by Falconhurst Flashdance is also going beautifully and these two were awarded champion and reserve at the Hawkes Bay Show.

Eastdale is aiming to produce the much sought-after small riding pony and with this in mind I have imported Rosedale Royal Affair, the most divine little two-year-old filly.
Very riding pony in type, this filly is by the most amazing riding pony stallion, Sandbourne Royal Ensign out of the exquisite, most talked-about mare, Rosedale Simone, herself out of Colbeach Simone who was a huge winner in the UK.
She in turn is by Willowbay Symphony who is proving to be a very influential broodmare sire. The plan is to cover this filly with Kirreway Uptown to produce small riding ponies.

2011 has seen two super foals born by the young imported sire, Canterbury Park Banbury Cross. Windvale Just n Time has a stunning colt, already going grey and Greenlee Ballerina the prettiest elegant little filly. Both mares are back in foal to him again.
The third and last foal for Eastdale is a tiny filly out of Kirkwood Summer Belle by Kirreway Uptown. Already going grey, this filly is just divine and has that amazing Uptown front. She just comes right out of the shoulder and can she move! Kirkwood Summer Belle has been covered once again by Kirreway Uptown.
