Without a doubt the most influential foundation mare at Eastdale was the small Thoroughbred mare Fantasy, an exquisite little mare by the English stallion Greek God. A multi champion under saddle she has produced a huge line of show ponies and her fourth generation of descendents are now being produced here and at other top studs.

This Portrait mare has produced a consistent stream of Champion ponies, both led and under saddle, including many Royals. The first two by Greenlee Merry Minstrel (Stenigot Nightingale x Breccles Clementine), E. Merry Model and E. Merry go Round were top winners under saddle and now have gone on to be valuable broodmares.
The next by Rotherwood Peter Pan (AI), E. Ellegance, through limited showing was champion several times including the Grand National Show when she stepped out to win champion Novice. Then going to Falconhurst Flashdance she produced the Royal Champion Group C, E. Alloutta, followed by E. Born To Dance, a royal champion winner himself and now standing at stud in the North Island, E. Dance With Me, a Supreme winner.
We are currently preparing another full brother to show this season with the thoughts of running him on as a colt at this stage. This great old mare is back in foal to F. Flashdance so hoping for a filly to put to our new stallion Canterbury Park Banbury Cross. |

This incredible mare has just joined our group of broodmares. Without a doubt the most prolific winning show pony in New Zealand, her successes include
- 4 times Royal Show Supreme
- 2 Supreme Paced and Mannered Horse or Pony Auckland Royal
- 3 Pony of the Year Titles with over 50 supremes to her name.
She is by Kirreway Uptown (Imp) out of Kuriheka Mystic.
She is the proud mother of Monstevous Just in Pretoria, beautifully produced under saddle by Colleen Ingram for us. In her first season she has taken the eye of many international judges and has a huge future already clocking up many championships; she is a huge moving filly like her mother.
It was a huge thrill to see this filly take out the 2011 NZ Bred Pony Title at the HOY where she just worked a treat for a young pony. She then went on to get the Champion 14.2hh pony at the 2011 Waikato Royal Show.
Windvale Just n Time has foaled the most stunning colt by Canterbury Park Banbury Cross who is already sold to the North Island as a future stallion prospect. She is back in foal again to this stallion.

Her yearling colt by F. Flashdance has been sold to the North Island to be produced as a saddle pony and her tiny rising two year old filly has just been sold to the Beechcroft Stud to join their show team. Watch this space, she be a glorious saddle pony, her movement just breathtaking. She was left empty last season to go to our new colt, Canterbury Park Banbury Cross.
Eastdale Merry Moments is a super dark brown mare, shown for Champion yearling, two and three year old at the Canterbury Show under top international judges. She has huge movement, an extremely elegant type of pony with just a hint of Thoroughbred as her dam Monymusk Titania was by Dark Idol, out of Monymusk Freya whose sire was the imported arab Sirrocco. This mare's first foal, E. Copelia by F. Flashdance was Royal Champion Yearling, and has gone on to win many more supremes in hand. She has been broken in and will be produced this coming season under saddle. Also an exquisite full sister is to be show in hand this season.
Her next foal, E. Felicity by Falconhurst Flashdance, has won many supremes in hand and is now a 2yr old so will be broken in next year and bought out under saddle, unless sold. Felicity is just the sweetest filly with lovely movement. She then produced a super filly by Canterbury Park Banbury Cross who has been sold. She is now in foal to Kirreway Uptown.

Greenlee Ballerina is a bay mare of all English Bloodlines, by Kirreway Uptown (Rotherwood Acrobat-Keston Minetta) out of Rosevean Merry Caper whose dam was Rosevean French Caper by Bwlch Valintino and by Rosevean Merry Mountain.
This exquisite riding pony mare continues to make a huge impression, this season taking out two Supreme awards. G. Ballerina has produced outstanding foals by Falconhurst Flashdance:
- E. Cabaret, already a big winner in hand, and is owned by the top showing home of Maxine Reed-Smythe; Cabaret has been broken in and is to come out under saddle shortly;
- followed by two superb fillies by F. Flashdance, E. Diva, Supreme In hand Royal 2009 plus many other major titles. Diva has been leased to Barb Du Plessis where she has been broken in and produced under saddle by the Fairburn Park team, how lucky is she!
- and E. Escapade, her yearling sister and in the 2010 showing team the tiny full brother, a little 12.2hh.
Her next foal a colt by Falconhurst Flashdance has been sold to Barb Du Plessis and has been gelded and will be produced as a saddle pony.
She has the most exquisite filly foal at foot by Canterbury Park Banbury Cross and is back in foal to him.

Her first foal, E. Cabaret has been broken, in and had a few shows under saddle and already champion with his little seven year old rider Jordan Reed Smyth. E. Diva also broken in and about to come out under saddle so all very exciting. I am just so privileged to have Greenlee Ballerina in my paddock, she is a the loveliest natured little mare who just keeps producing outstanding riding ponies.

Linden Whisper (Cusop Display-Cobweb), now deceased, has left numerous top ponies, Sherwood Accent, Sherwood Twist and Shout, etc. Her only foal for us is E. Blissfull, leased out to be produced under saddle this spring by the Nesbit family of Southland.

Kirkwood Summer Belle
This delightful small mare has been purchased to breed the much sought after lead rein and first ridden ponies. She is beautifully bred, by Greenlee Jubilation out of Pinelea Summer Folly, who has had five of her offspring exported. She is the dam of the exquisite filly, Kirkwood Summer Fun, Supreme Champion Part bred welsh HOY 2010 and also the previous year as a yearling.
She has produced the sweetest little filly by Kirreway Uptown, already going grey and can she move, she has been covered again by Uptown.
We currently have two very elegant thoroughbred mares in foal to F. Flashdance, a lovely old McGinty mare and a super big Danroad filly, hoping to produce the big pony or better still, the park hack.

Proving temperament is a must a week after Eastdale Beatrice was awarded Champion Riding pony she was some 2500 feet above sea level trekking on Winterslow station with eight-year-old Emily Chamberlain safely aboard.
