Platique is a beautifully natured, elegant thoroughbred mare we have owned since she was three. She showed real promise on the track but at five, during her first race trial, she broke her pastern.

Platinum Plus (Pip) is Platique's 1994 daughter by Hermod, a group 2 winning son of Planet Kingdom. Because of her small size (maturing at barely 14.3hh) Pip was unraced. However, she certainly inherited speed from both her parents and was among the fastest horses on the polo field. She was played in New Zealand by Canterbury pro Mark Harris, being in his team to win the South Island classic and runner-up in the Savile Cup of 2002. Pip was sold to a young player near Oxford in the UK, and following her polo career is now at stud.
