Theodore O'Connor, owned by the Theodore O'Connor Syndicate and bred by P. Wynne Norman of Sportponies Unlimited has topped the USEA Horse of the Year Leaderboard following his brilliant performance at the Rolex Kentucky Three-day Event in April.
Theodore O'Connor, at just 14.1¾hh, outshone most of his opponents to finish third in the four-star test. He made history as the first pony to take part in the event.
"Teddy" is holding Connaught, owned by Bruce Duchossois and Tru Luck, owned by Ann Jones and Shannon Stimson (both ridden by Phillip Dutton) at bay on a year-to-date total of 134 points to Connaught's and Tru Luck's 117 points.
Theodore O'Connor and Karen and Connaught and Phillip have just completed Team Training with Mark Phillips at Stonehall Farm in The Plains, Virginia and will be traveling with their teammates to Florida this weekend to begin their journey to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the Pan American Games.
